Here in the US we have become used to "temporary" dwellings and buildings that begin to need serious repairs in a couple of decades and within a couple more are ready to be torn down or completely rebuilt. This practice is not sustainable, economically sound or logical. It's wasteful. We don't believe in being wasteful.
